The slope is how many units the y-coordinate goes up per 1 space it moves by the x-coordinate.

In this slope, its x goes to the right one unit while its y goes two up.


slope = (rise)/(run).

In this case, the rise is 2 and the run is 1.

Therefore, the slope = 2/1 = 2.
