Answer:

B. Dictators have Complete Authority over the People.

Step-by-step explanation:

For as long as there has been civilization, and governments, there has been Dictators, which have 2 main classifications, Authoritarian & Totalitarian.

Authoritarianism
Authoritarianism is an ideology distinctly defined as: "To have Absolute Power over the People" In ancient times, sharply in the medieval era, Absolute Monarchies have been the most common form of Authoritarianism, It has been widely debated that leaders chose the path of dictatorship because: "They do not trust their people to be free" or "I can make our country a lot stronger if I would have all the power" the second example is called a beneficial dictatorship, and you will learn more about that later in my statement.

Totalitarianism
Totalitarianism is what's known as a more extreme form of authoritarianism, it goes a little bit further than your average dictatorship, saying that totalitarianism is more extreme than authoritarianism, in an authoritarian government, the leader doesn't exert 100% control over the people, a totalitarian government is a different story and there have been many infamous totalitarian regimes.

Infamous Totalitarian Regimes:
* Third German Reich (Nazi Germany)
* Russian Empire
* Early Soviet Union (Joseph Stalin)
* the People's Republic of China (Mao Zedong)
* North Korea (Kim Dynasty)
* Italy (Benito Mussolini)

A Dictatorship isn't always just one person who has supreme power over the entire country in which they may rule, power may be split to a small group of people called an oligarchy, the two main types of authoritarianism is Autocracy (One Ruler) and oligarchy (Multiple Rulers)

Types of Dictatorships:

1. Beneficial Dictatorship
A "Beneficial Dictatorship" or a "Dictatorship for the benefit of the people" is a type of dictatorship, authoritarian, or totalitarian, in which a ruler exercises absolute political power for the benefit of the people, it stands as an example that not all dictatorships are bad, but still, there are not enough benevolent dictatorships in our human history.

2. Single-Party Dictatorship
A single party dictatorship or single party government is a system of government in which 1 party rules the nation, and the citizens of that country are banned from associating themselves with another party, usually the leader of the party is the leader of the country.

3. Personalist Dictatorship
Also known as a One-man dictatorship, which is what we have been discussing, in a personalist dictatorship power lies within one man.

4. Military Dictatorships
Also called Military Junta's, the name should be obvious, in a military junta, the military rules over the people, complete or substantial control.

That is all! I have a lot more about this to discuss about this topic but I really don't want to flood you with information!
