A pair of kids and a pair of adults decided to compete in a three-legged race. The kids

got to start 15 meters ahead of the adults, since they had shorter legs. When they
were told to start, the kids hobbled forward at a rate of 1 meter per second, and the
adults hobbled after them at a rate of 4 meters per second. Soon they were side-by-
side. How far did the adults go? How long did that take?

A.) 25 meters; 7 seconds
B.) 5 meters; 20 seconds
C.) 7 meters; 25 seconds

The answer would be D. 20 Meters; 5 Seconds.

5 Seconds into the race, the adults and children are neck and neck, however the adults go 4x faster than the children.
