So you have a rectangle and a triangle, first you’re are going to get the measurements of the rectangle which is 6,6,4,4 because every opposite side is equal, so the formula of the area of a rectangle is LW which is 6x4=24. And then get the area of the triangle, the sides of the triangle will be 3 as the base and 4 as the height, the formula of the area of a triangle is HB/2 which is 4x3/2=6. Last step you’ll add both of the areas together and get the total of the whole figure which is 24+6=30
30 Will be your final answer

Answer:

Your answer is 30 sq. yd

Explanation:

To find the area of the rectangle:

l x w

6 x 4 = 24

To find area of triangle:

1/2(bh)

to find the base of the triangle you subtract 6 from 9:

9 - 6 = 3

So 1/2 (3 x 4)

1/2 (3 x 4)

1/2 (12)

12 / 2 = 6

Area of whole figure:

You will now add 6 + 24 = 30
