Question: Who will win the race? The tortoise or the hare?
Background Knowledge: There is a tortoise named Bertie that is the fastest in the world
according to the Guinness Book of World Records. His top speed is 0.28 m/s. In this race, he
will compete against a Brown Hare.
Brown Hares look like ordinary rabbits but their rear feet are much larger. This allows
them to run much faster than rabbits. For short distances hares can reach a maximum speed
of 22 m/s.
Calendar
Predict: The hare bragged to all the other animals about how fast it could run and laughed at
the tortoise because it moved so slowly. Tired of being bullied by the hare, the tortoise
challenged him to a 100-m race.
