y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Here m = - 2 , then

y = - 2x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute (7, 6 ) into the partial equation

6 = - 14 + c ⇒ c = 6 + 14 = 20

y = - 2x + 20 ← equation of line
