its width. If the perimeter of the garden is 70 feet,
find the dimensions of the garden algebraically.

the width is x

the length is 3x-5

so, 2(x+(3x-5))=70 is the equation

2(x+3x-5)=70

2x+6x-10=70

8x-10=70

8x=10

x=10.

Width = 10 feet

Length = 25 feet
