so for the first question its answer is 763.02 in and for the second one its 1,526.04

Explanation:

1.

V = π r^2h

π = 3.14

V = 3.14 x 9^2 x 3

V= 3.14 x 81 x 3

V = 3.14 x 243

V = 763.02 in

2.

So we already know that 9^2 is 81 and that double 3 is 6

V = 3.14 x 81 x 6

V = 3.14 x 486

V = 3.14 x 486

V = 1,526.04 in

Answer:

Original cylinder:

Exact:
V = 243 \pi~in.^3

Approximate:
V = 763.4~in.^3

Double height cylinder:

Exact:
V = 486 \pi~in.^3

Approximate:
V = 1526.8~in.^3

Explanation:

Original cylinder:

V = \pi r^2 h

V = \pi * (9~in.)^2 * 3~in.

Exact:
V = 243 \pi~in.^3

Approximate:
V = 763.4~in.^3

Cylinder with the height doubled:

V = \pi r^2 h

V = \pi * (9~in.)^2 * 6~in.

Exact:
V = 486 \pi~in.^3

Approximate:
V = 1526.8~in.^3
