As we know that the area of an equilateral triangle with side a is given by ;

  • {\boxed{\bf{Area_((equilateral))=(√(3))/(4)a^(2)}}}

So , now using formula in our question, putting the value of the side, we can thus obtain

{:\implies \quad \sf Area=(√(3))/(4)(16)^(2)}

Putting value of √3 ≈ 1.73 and cancelling 4 we have ;

{:\implies \quad \sf Area\approx 1.73* 64}

{:\implies \quad \sf Area\approx 110.72\:\: cm^(2)}

{:\implies \quad \sf Area\approx 110.7\:\: cm^(2)}

This is the required answer
