Greg took his younger sister to the circus. He bought two tickets that each cost $23.50. He also bought popcorn that cost $6.50. Charlotte calculated that Greg spent $53.50 at the circus. Is Charlotte’s calculation correct? How do you know?

Answer: She is correct.

Explanation:

First, you do 23.50 X 2 which equals 47.

Next, you add 6.50 to 47 which is 53.50.

You can also do 23.50 plus 23.50 if multiplication is harder for you.

Your welcome. I hoped it helped.
