Explanation:

a) To find the area of her garden, you need to know the area of a circle: πr²

diameter = 20m

radius = 10m

3.14 × 10² = 314m²

b) If 1 box covers 58m², then we need to work out how many 58m² can fit into her garden, but because its an estimate we round the numbers to 1 significant figure

314 ÷ 58 ≈ 300 ÷ 60 = 5

c) The answer is an underestimate because the actual value is 5.4137...

314 ÷ 58 = 5.4137..
