Beef: 1 pound is $2.85. now divide $2.85 by 4 to get 1/4 of the price of a pound. then add 1 pound of turkey ($2.85) and 1/4 pound of turkey ($0.71) which gives you $3.56

Now, 1 1/4 pounds of beef and 1 1/4 pounds of turkey subtract them and that gives you $1.75.
