Explanation:

y - 1 = -2(x - 5)

Distribute -2 into the parenthesis:

y - 1 = -2x + 10

Add 1 to both sides:

y - 1 + 1 = -2x + 10 + 1

y = -2x + 11 (This is the slope-intercept form where the slope, m = -2, and the y-intercept, b = 11).

Using the slope (m = -2) and the coordinates of the y-intercept, (0, 11):

Plot the y-intercept on the graph. Then, use the slope's "rise over run" technique (2 units down, and 1 unit to the right) to plot other points. Connect the points by drawing a line over them.
