answer:

change in momentum = 37,500kg.m/s in the opposite direction

time it takes = 12.5s

working:

u=25m/s

v=0m/s

F=ma

-3000=(1500)(a)

-3000÷1500=a

a= -2m/s^2

Change in momentum=mv-mu

(1500)(0)-(1500)(25)

= -37,500kg.m/s

relax the( - ) represents direction

v=u-at

0=25-2t

2t=25

t= 12.5s
