Given :

  • In a neutral atom that has an atomic mass of 22 and atomic number of 12.

To Find :-

  • The number of neutrons .

Solution :-

As we know that,

  • n(neutrons) + n(protons) = A
  • n(neutrons) + 12 = 2 2
  • n(neutrons) = 22-12
  • n(neutrons) = 10

Hence the required answer is 10.
