Please help, I need an explanation because I don’t understand how this works.

Uhhh… this is a bad question. Because technically, none of those is the true correct answer. However, the only answer that it COULD be is B. If you were to plug in 1 into B, you’d get 0 in the denominator which creates an asymptote in the graph. None of the other three have this property

(Just a side rant, the reason none of them are technically correct is because x cannot equal -1 either… just some bonus points you could redeem with your teacher if you feel like it)
