The answer is 10.

x^2 + y^ = c^2

The horizontal distance of the triangle is just the distance between their x values:
x = 1 - -5 = 6

The vertical distance of the triangle is just the difference between their y values:
y = 4 - -4 = 8

6^2 + 8^2= c^2
36 + 64 = c ^2
100 = c^2
10 = c
