A few weeks ago, Tori bought 4 apples from her local farmers' market. Today, she bought 3 apples. What is the percent of decrease in the number of apples bought?

Answer:

25%

Explanation:

(original value - new value / original value) x 100

So

4 - 3 = 1

1/4 = 0.25

0.25 x 100 = 25

So there was a 25% decrease in the number of apples bought.
