On his way to Damascus, Paul was blinded by a flash from Heaven. In a few days (by means of the laying of hands), his sight was restored. That miracle changed Paul from a persecutor of the the early Christians, to a devout but stormy Christian. The whole account, including the laying of the hands (by Ananias) can be found in Acts 9. Part of the miracle was the fact that Jesus commanded him to finish going to Damascus and that he would be met there by someone that will instruct him. Acts Chapter 9 is a really interesting read.
