1) Convert seconds to minutes so we can see which velocity to use for the equation. Then convert the velocity from cm/s to m/s.

120 seconds = 2.0 minutes (now we know what the velocity will be)

1320 cm/s = 13.2 m/s (just divided by 100)

2) We can now find the distance by using the formula: distance = time x velocity

distance = 120 x 13.2

distance = 1584 m

Note: the units for the time must be in seconds (s) and the units for velocity must be in m/s because when we multiply them, the seconds (s) cancel out/eliminate each other so that we are left with just metres (m) for distance.
