Let's solve :

by using Pythagoras theorem :

  • EF² = EG² - GF²

  • EF² =
    {\sqrt{}{24}}^(2) - 3²

  • EF² = 24 - 9

  • EF² = 15

  • EF =
    {\sqrt{}{15}}

now,

  • \tan(G) = ( √(15) )/(3)

  • \tan(G) = (3.873)/(3)

  • \tan(G) = 1.291

  • \tan(G) \approx1.29

Answer:

tan A = opp

adj

tan G = EF

3

from Pythagoras theorem,

EF² + 3² = (√24)²

EF² + 9 = 24

EF² = 15

EF = √15

then,

tan G = 15

3

therefore tan G = √15/3
