Perimeter: 36 cm

Explanation:

Area = length x width

Width = x

Length 2x

Area = 72 cm

Area = x (2x) = 2x^2

2x^2 = 72 cm

x^2 = 72/2

x = sqrt 36 = 6

Width = 6

Length = 12

Perimeter = 2(6) + 2(12) = 12 + 24 = 36 cm
