An elementary class on a field trip stopped at a small restaurant that was famous for their scratch made turkey pot pies. 25 of the 30

children got sick later that night, as did 1 of the 5 adult chaperones .
The Health Department followed up on the complaints of illness and found that some of the turkey used to make the pot pies was under
done. It seems the staff at the small restaurant hadn't prepped enough food for such a large group and rushed to get the orders out to them.
Because of this, they used turkey that wasn't checked for proper internal cooking temperature in the pot pies. Most of the children who got
sick had to be admitted to the hospital with severe illness.
