(2x+18)+(6x-8)=90. Then, isolate the variable and solve.

  • Remove the parentheses

2x +18 +6x -8 =90

  • Add like terms

8x +10 =90

  • Subtract 10 from both sides

8x = 80

  • Divide both sides by 8

x=10

Finally, plug 10 in for x in the expression for angle b. This equals 52 degrees.
