  • Add and subtract 4


\\ \rm\rightarrowtail y=x^2+4x+4+10-4


\\ \rm\rightarrowtail y=x^2+4x+2^2+6


\\ \rm\rightarrowtail y=(x+2)^2+6

Vertex form

  • y=a(x-h)^2+k

Vertex:-

  • (h,k)=(-2,6)
