Explanation:

first, find a common denominator, 30. then multiply the numerator by the number of times you multiplied the denominator, the one gets turned into a 10 and the 7 gets turned into 21. The numbers are now -3 10/30 and -8 21/30, now turn the whole number into part of the fraction, -3 is three 30s so 30x3+10= 100. Then, the next number, 8x30+21= 261. Now, multiply.

100/30 x 261/30 =870/30 then simplify by dividing and whatnot, once that's done you'll get the whole number 29
