▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪  {\huge\mathfrak{Answer}}▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪▪

let's solve :

a.) The equation is :

  • (1)/(4) x + y = - 1

at point of x - intercept, value of y - coordinate is 0, so let's put y = 0 in the equation to find x - intercept.

  • (1)/(4) x + 0 = - 1

  • x = - 1 * 4

  • x = - 4

so, value of x - intercept = -4, the point will be (-4 , 0)

b.) At y - intercept value of x - coordinate is 0, so let's put x = 0 in the equation to find y - intercept.

  • (1)/(4) * 0 + y = - 1

  • y = - 1

value of y - intercept = -1, the point will be (0 , -1)

c.) let's find slope :

  • (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

  • (0 - ( - 1))/( - 4 - 0)

  • - (1)/(4)

d.) Let's graph the line using points (0 , -1) and (-4 , 0)
