Find the distance and midpoint between points S and T, IF S(-7, 11) and T(-1,3). Round to the

nearest tenth.

Answer:

The distance is the square root of 100 which is 10 so the Distance = 10 and the midpoint is (-4,7)

Explanation:

The formula for distance is the square root of (x2-x1) squared +(y2-y1)squared all under the qsuare root

Which would be the square root of (-1-(-7))squared+(3+11)squared all under the square root which would give you the square root of 100 which equals 10

The formula for midpoint is (x1+x2 /2, y1+y2 /2) which would give you -8 /2 which equals -4 and 14 /2 which give you 7

so the distance is 10 and the midpoint is (-4,7)
