Your body needs certain nutrients to make new cells and remove toxins in the body. Good nutrition can decrease your chances of developing certain diseases. It is no secret that eating a healthy and balanced meal is an important step to good nutrition.

To eat healthy, you may have to resolve to make healthy food choices. Instead of eating products with refined grains like white flour, choose foods with whole grains in them. The refined grains have larger amounts of starch which the body just stores as fat. Whole grains will give you more energy than refined grains.
For snacks, you can choose fruits or vegetables instead of candy. Fruits and vegetables have important vitamins that you cannot get from other foods. They can also help lower your blood pressure and may help lessen your chance of getting cancer.
