A first-aid manual - This is useful for learning how/where/when to use the different materials and resources in the first-aid kit.

Different sized sterile gauze pads - This is useful for blood collection, you would need to bring different sizes for different injuries and the amount of blood coming from the injury

Adhesive tape - This is used to attach bandages, gauze, and other dressings to skin around wounds. This is a type of medical tape that stays in place with firm pressure

Band-Aids in several sizes - This is used to cover up cuts and injuries, several different sizes for several different cuts

Elastic bandage - Used to wrap around a sprain or strain. The gentle pressure of the bandage helps reduce swelling, so it may help the injured area feel better.

Antibiotic ointment - This is used to treat minor wounds (such as cuts, scrapes, burns) and to help prevent or treat mild skin infections

Antiseptic solution - This is used to disinfect the injured area and reduce the chances of infection

Acetaminophen and ibuprofen - Acetaminophen helps relieve pain and fever. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that can help reduce pain and inflammation, these are over the counter pain-killers

Tweezers - These are used for grasping objects too small to be easily handled with the human fingers, (IE. Splinters)

Scissors - Used to cut medical tapes or string, rope, fishing line, etc.. wrapped around a persons body.

Disposable instant cold packs - When the bag is squeezed, the water lowers to a temperature of the water to almost freezing, used as an ice pack.

Alcohol wipes - Used for preparation of the skin prior to injection, as well as in first aid to decrease germs in minor cuts, scrapes and burns

Plastic non-latex gloves - These gloves are worn to prevent cross-contamination between the treater and the injured

Flashlight with extra batteries - Used for seeing in the dark and looking for injury.

A blanket - Used for helping to prevent hypothermia, low temp in human body, etc..

Mouthpieces for administering CPR - The statement explains itself

Calamine lotion - This is used to relieve pain, itching, and discomfort from minor skin irritations such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac

A splint - This is used to support and protect injured bones, ligaments, tendons, and other tissues

There you go! :D
