A rectangle has an area of 513.5m2. One of the sides is 7.9m in length. Work out the perimeter of the rectangle.

Answer: The perimeter is 145.8 square meters

Explanation:

Area=513.5 square meters

513.5=l (length) times w (width)

513.5= 7.9 times w

513.5= 7.9w

(DIVIDE 513.5 AND 7.9 BY 7.9)

65= w

Perimeter= 2l + 2w

Perimeter=2(7.9) + 2(65)

Perimeter=15.8 + 130

Perimeter=145.8 square meters
