First find 2 points that cross the corner of the grid as shown in the attached image.

Then count how many units up and over it takes to connect the 2 points. For this example, there are 3 up and 4 across.

ΔX = 0 – -4 = 4

ΔY = 1 – -2 = 3

Slope (m) = ΔY/ΔX = 3/4 = 0.75

To solve for slope, it would be
(rise)/(run)=(3)/(4) =0.75 is the slope.
