1 - 4 = -3

8 - 4 4

so the m is -3/4

now you need to find the y intercept so pick one of the points (let's do (8, 1)) and plug that into the slope intercept form (y = mx+b)

so 1 = -3/4(8) + b

1 = -6 + b

+ 6 + 6

b = 7
