Answer:

50

Explanation:

To solve this equation, use PEMDAS:

P - Parentheses

E - Exponents

M/D - Multiplication/Division

A/S - Addition/Subtraction

PEMDAS is the method that is used for the order of operations. Multiplication and division are interchangeable, so when there are only those signs left, you solve from left to right. This also applies to addition and subtraction.

Equations must always be solved in the order of PEMDAS -- P, then E, then M/D, then A/S.

Now, to solve the equation:

100 - 2(12 + 13) First, solve what is in the parentheses (P).

100 - 2(25) Next, multiply 2 × 25 (M).

100 - 50 Finally, subtract 50 from 100 (S)

50

100 - 2(12 + 13) = 50
