point slope form: y + 4 = 3/8 (x + 5) slope intercept: y = 3/8x - 17/8

Explanation:

y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

-1 - (-4) / 3 - (-5)

slope = 3/8

y + 4 = 3/8 (x + 5)

y = 3/8x + b

-1 = 3/8(3) + b

-1 = 9/8 + b

-17/8

y = 3/8x - 17/8
