Explanation:

2t^2- t -4 =0

2t^2 - 8t+t -4=0

(we have to find the factor here. I have used The Product Sum method of factorization)

2t( t-4) + 1( t-4)=0

(2t+1) (t-4)=0

t= -1/2 ,t=4
