Dear Timmy,

Mom told me what happened between you two, and that you guys got into an argument because you didn't want to complete your two hours of reading for your English class this week. I just wanted to write this letter to explain to you how important it is to read books and why you should be more than happy to read a book for two hours as a school assignment. Reading expands your vocabulary it teaches you new words and definitions which you can then use those words in real life situations to make you seem smart to your friends. Not only that but believe it or not reading makes you smarter, it truly does I mean look at me (don't laugh) I'm in a top of the line college on a full ride scholarship because I'm a smart guy and I've been reading since I was six. Reading is great, I read all the time here at school and let me tell you, it's like watching TV in your brain! I'm serious try it, it's just like watching TV in your brain and if you read that book Timmy, it will get you hooked on reading. Apologize to mom and get your school work done. I'll be home soon.
