The mean of a set of data is all the data added together divided by the total numbers in that data set. So not only do you have to add an additional 45 to the data set, but you also have to divide the total of all the test scores by the total number of test takers which is now 31.

The range of a set of data is rearranging the data set smallest to largest and then subtracting the smallest from the largest value in the data set. Since the mean is 10 it's a small chance that 45 is either smallest or the largest of the set of data. We don't know the median, or the mode of the data set, nor does the question give us the other 30 test scores so it's between the range and the mean.

The most affected with the inclusion of the additional students test score would be the first option or the "mean."
