The equation y = 16.50x describes the amount of money Joey earns, where x is the number of hours he works and y is the amount of money he earns.

(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

We will be using: (2,39) and (8,156) to find the slope of this table.


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\\\m=(156-39)/(8-2) \\\\m=(117)/(6) \\\\m=19.5

y = mx + b

y = 19.5x + b

I will be using (2, 39) to find the value of b

(2, 39)

y = 19.5x + b

39 = 19.5(2) + b

39 = 39 + b
