Answer ran 2 3/4 miles in 1/3 of an hour

2 3/4 miles =11/4 miles in 1/3 of hour

11/4 miles divided by 1/3 hr

11/4 ÷ 1/3

11/4 * 3/1 =33/4 =8 1/4 miles in 1 hr
