Explanation:

2(5+2x)=−4+6x

Distribute

10 +4x = -4 +6x

Subtract 4x from each side

10 +4x-4x = -4+6x-4x

10 = -4+2x

Add 4 to each side

10+4 =-4+2x+4

14 =2x

Divide by 2

14/2 =2x/2

7 =x
