the x distance is 9 - -4 = 9+4 = 13

7/10 of that is 91/10 = 9.1

-4 + 9.1 = 5.1

the y-distance is 6 - -5 = 6+5 = 11

7/10 of that is 77/10 = 7.7

-5 + 7.7 = 2.7

so ( 5.1, 2.7) is hte point that is 7/10 of the distance. Please label this point M.

the distance of AB is sqrt( 11^2 + 13^2) = sqrt(121+169) = sqrt(290) , or approximately 17.0294

the distance from A to M is sqrt( 9.1^2 + 7.7^2) , or approximately 11.92

the quotient of these distances is 0.7 approximately
