Answer:

x = 12

Explanation:

G(x) = 1/4x +5 Now G(x) is also equal to 8

This means we can set the problems equal to each other since they both equal G(x)

1/4x + 5 = 8 Now we want to isolate the x, so we subtract both sides by 5

1/4x = 3 Now we multiply both sides by 4 to get rid of the fraction (were using reciprocals) (1/4 x 4 = 1 and 3 4 = 12)

x = 12

Answer:

g(x) = (1)/(4) x + 5 = 8 \\ (1)/(4) x = 8 - 5 \\ (1)/(4)x = 3 \\ x = 3 * 4 \\ x = 12 \\ thank \: you
