Which of the following equations are equivalent to -2m - 5m - 8 = 3 + (-7) + m?

m - 4 = -7m - 8
-8 - 3m = 4 - m
-3m - 8 = 4 - m
-15m = -4m
-7m - 8 = m - 4
-8 - 7m = -4 + m

-2m - 5m - 8 = 3 + (-7) + m= -1/2 (no need to give step by step figure this out)

the first one is correct, i will explain this one.

1) add 4 to both sides of the equation

m-4=-7m-8

m-4+4=-7m-8+4

2) simplify

add the numbers (a)

m=-7m-4

3) add 7m to both sides of the equation

m = -7m-4

m+7m=-7m-4+7m

4) simplify

a. combine like terms

8m = -4

5) divide both sides of the equation by the same term

8m = -4

8m/8=-4/8

6) simplify

cancel terms that are in both the numerator and denominator

divide the numbers

m=-1/2

-7m-8=m-4
Because if you combine like terms on both sides this will be the answer you get
