Explanation:

The first number that will not work in this equation is the number that would make the denominator 0.

So -7 is the only number that would make the denominator 0.

The other numbers that won't work are numbers that make the numerator negative. If x equals a number that would make one part of the numerator negative while the other part is positive, then the answer would be < 0.

x = - 2, - 1, 0 and 1 are all numbers that won't work because they will all be <0.

(-2 + 3)(-2 - 2) = ( 1 )( -4 ) = -4 which means the answer would be less than 0.

When x equals 2, the numerator will be 0. Once x > 2, the equation would be true again because no matter what, the numerator will be positive.

So, X cannot equal -7, -2, -1, 0 or 1.

I would use the answer x < -2; x > 1; x ≠ -7
