Solution :

speed of train :

  • (distance \: \: covered)/(time)

  • (300)/(6)

  • 50 \: km \: h {}^( - 1)

time taken to complete the journey of 550 km :

  • (distance \: \: to \: \: be \: \: covered)/(speed)

  • (550)/(50)

  • 11 \: hr

for completing journey of 550 km, it took 11 hours

Answer:

11 hours

Explanation:

We know that speed= distance/time

the train traveled for 300 km(distance) in 6 hours (time) from those information we can calculate the speed

speed = distance/ time

speed = 300km/6hours = 50 km/hr

we have the speed now we will consider the train move in a constant speed

they want the time for distance of 550 km

we use the same law

speed = distance/time

time= distance/speed

time = 550/50 = 11 hours the time to complete 550 km
