Explanation:

first we reduce both fractions. so -12/25 times 5/9 we see that 5 and 25 have common multiples so we divide the 25 by five to get -12/5 times 1/9. now we also see that 9 and 12 have common multiples so we reduce them as well. so now we are left with -4/5 and 1/3. from there we multiple. -4 times 1 = -4

5 times 3 = 15. now we have -4/15.
