How do I solve this?

Explanation:

10x-5x=9+9 (switching sides, x at one side and number at other side)

5x=18 (calculate)

x=18/5 (division by 5 on both sides)

Take 5x from both sides
9 = 5x-9
Add 9 to both sides
18 = 5x
Divide by 5
3.6=x
