What was the ratification process for the Constitution, and how did the federalists eventually triumph?

The ratification for the Constitution was when the States were voting on whether or not to adopt the Constitution. Only three states unanimously adopted it, and the rest of the states followed suit only because they knew they couldn't exist without the rest.
