I can’t tell if you mean 2 5/8 - 5/12 but I’ll solve both 2 5/8 - 5/12 and 5/8 - 5/12

Step-by-step explanation:

2 5/8 gets converted into a improper fraction giving you 21/8 - 5/12

Then you would subtract the fractions giving you a final answer of 53/24

Final answer: 53/24

Explanation:

First you would get your least common multiple of 8 and 12 (Which is 24) and you would convert 5/8 and 5/12 to fractions with a denominator of 24.

15/24 - 10/24

15 - 10 / 24 - Subtract 15 from 10 giving you 5

Final answer: 5/24
